Quality Assurance

Lot-wise checks on moisture, foreign matter, appearance and aroma, with third party laboratory testing available on request.

Quality in botanical trading is not a single inspection, it is a specification that both sides agree on and repeat supply that meets it every time. We start by writing the specification down.

Before dispatch

• Identity — botanical name, part used and origin confirmed against the purchase record.
• Moisture — measured and brought within the agreed range, since moisture drives spoilage and weight disputes.
• Foreign matter — checked for stones, sand, stalk and other extraneous material after cleaning and grading.
• Organoleptic — colour, aroma, taste and texture compared against the retained sample of the approved lot.
• Size and cut — verified against the mesh, cut size or whole-form requirement.

Samples and retained lots

A pre-shipment sample is retained from every lot. If material arrives and does not match what was approved, we have the reference sample to compare against, which keeps the conversation factual.

Third party testing

Where a buyer needs laboratory certification — pesticide residue, heavy metals, microbiology, aflatoxin or assay of active markers — we arrange testing at accredited laboratories and share the report. Please state the required parameters and the accepting laboratory at enquiry stage so the samples can be drawn correctly.

Traceability

Each consignment is tied to a lot number covering purchase, processing date and packing. If a query is raised after arrival, that lot can be traced back through the records.
